Skiers can enjoy the scenic Powder Mountain and Snowbasin ski resorts in the winter. The Snowbasin ski resort opened in 1939 and is one of the oldest operating ski areas in the nation. It showcased several venues for the 2002 Winter Olympics. With over 104 runs, ski trails, powder bowls, and beautiful glades, the ski area has something for everyone. The resort is located east of Ogden and south of Huntsville and offers both winter and summer activities. Powder Mountain, on the other hand, is a hidden gem on Powder days. The resort offers 1,000 acres of lift-serviced terrain and an inbound skiable terrain of 8,500 acres. Ticket sales are limited to 2,000 per day.
